  Opinion concerning the effectiveness of sorbents and dispersants, used in Warszawa-Okęcie Airport for neutralization of petroleum products: The Airport Fire Brigade currently uses the following agents: Compakt sorbent, unwoven sorption fabrics and Sintan dispersant. Compakt is of particular importance to us. This agent, being insensitive to temperature after absorption of petroleum products, retains its original durability and does not release the substance being absorbed, which significantly facilitates its removal. The additional advantage of this product is its reusability and possibility of partial regeneration. The other agents (Sintan and sorption fabrics) have also proved highly useful for the neutralization of petroleum product spills.

  Army Unit No. 1128 certifies that Compakt sorbent offered by Sintac Poland Ltd., Wesoła, 86 Armii Krajowej Street, has successfully been used in our unit. The sorbent is used for protection against effects of environmental contamination by oils and other petroleum products. It perfectly removes these substances from hardened surfaces. Thanks to its use as an absorbing agent sand, sawdust and other materials are no longer employed for these purposes and no expensive utilization is required. Used sorbent is collected free of charge and recycled according to environmental protection regulations. Summarizing, Sintac Poland offers a very good agent successfully used in the military.   City Headquarters of State Fire Department in Zielona Góra certifies that it has been using Compakt sorbent for a number of years. The use of this sorbent consists in neutralization of oil and petrol spills. After applying the product and waiting a few minutes, the granulate is collected using a brush. Thanks to its high absorptive capacity and reusability, this preparation minimizes operational expenses and costs of rescue actions.
